The Lobby Is the New Amenity

I’ve walked through several Denver buildings this month, and there’s a clear pattern: lobbies are turning into lounges. Coffee bars, huddle rooms, soft seating, places to grab lunch. Owners are borrowing from hospitality to keep tenants happy and make renewal an easy decision.

That’s great for tenants, but it changes the cleaning plan. A lobby that used to need a nightly vacuum and glass wipe now has food service, upholstered furniture and heavy daytime traffic. The old checklist doesn’t fit.

If your building is making this shift, your cleaning scope should shift with it. Daytime porter coverage, upholstery care and food-area sanitation matter now in a way they didn’t five years ago.
